The Eastern Shore of Maryland has been home and a constant inspiration to Myrna. For several years, she has fully devoted herself to painting and learning to recreate the simple quiet beauty in nature.

Two editions of a drawing of the Chesapeake Bay area, with historical and pertinent drawings special to the area, hand painted, have sold out and the third edition has been well received. With no formal training, to say self-taught is not correct, as there was instruction, guidance, and inspiration from other successful artists. Just being aware is a learning experience. If a viewer feels they could walk into a painting and be there, then that is the greatest compliment.

Myrna has displayed paintings at juried and invitational shows winning many awards and ribbons. Her paintings and prints are in collections throughout the United States and abroad. The Seventh Edition Map was presented to Madam Jehan el Sadat by Rotary International. The first "Images of our Bay" cups by Salisbury Pewter were her designs. Del W. Ray Huff was presented a print of Chesapeake Bay Lighthouses during his efforts to pass the bill to preserve Maryland's lighthouses. A watercolor of Solomon's Lump Lighthouse was on exhibit at the State House in Annapolis.

Different map designs were done for tee shirts as well as the popular throws. The 1991 M. R. Ducks tee shirt was designed by Myrna. Her limited edition prints and original paintings are available in many galleries , shows, and can now be ordered through this web site.
